How much does an a typical site cost?

There are quite a few factors that will influence the cost of launching & maintaining your website. For example, how many pages are going to have, the amount of graphic work that is required, as well as any extra functionality you require, such as database applications, or the ability to maintain some or all of your site on your own. After a free consultation to discuss your goals, we provide a written quote which outlines all the costs associated with launching & maintaining your site.

How long will it take until the site is ready to launch?

Depending on the scope and complexity of your site, the time can be anywhere from a few weeks to several months.

Can you provide references for other companies you've developed sites for?

Yes! The portfolio section of our site contains some of our latest projects, and we also have references from other, "non-public" work that we have done for various clients. We can also provide the names & numbers of some of our clients upon request.

How will people be able to find my site?

The first place to start spreading the word is your existing marketing pieces and materials, like print brochures, your letterhead, and business cards. For a wider reach, Advanced Interactive offers internet marketing services which include getting your site listed on the most popular search engines, placing your banner ads on other sites that reach a similar demographic, and other methods to be sure you are sending qualified visitors to your site.

How do we get listed in the search engines?

There are many different factors that search engines use to determine how high a website will appear in their results. There are many books written about the subject, and tons of resources online to learn more. But we've found that, since each site is truly unique, there is no easy way to get to the top. One thing is for sure when it comes to search engine placements - if it seems to good to be true, it probably is! Be wary of companies offering to get you top placements for $29.95 a month, or software that magically does it for you. Getting top placements on search engines requires patience, persistence, and most importantly, a true understanding of how search engines work. Advanced Interactive has that knowledge and know-how.

Can you redesign the site I currently have in place?

If you already have a site that can serve as a good fountation to build upon, we can certainly make design or content changes for you. Many of our customers come to us with a website already in place. For the most part, they had sites that were designed a few years back by an inexperienced designer. We generally find it is best to use what we can from your existing site, but rebuild the underlying code that actually makes up your site from scratch to be sure your new website is compatible with today's most popular browsers and screen sizes.

What if I need to make changes to the site after it is up?

Most sites do need some sort of ongoing maintenance to keep it up-to-date. This really depends on what kind of information you have on your site. If you don't need to update the site very often, we offer maintenance plans tailored to your specific requirements. If your site will require frequent maintenance, such as a product catalogs or a press release section, we can build you sections that you can maintain on your own, without having to learn HTML or web design. Once my site is completed, where will it be hosted?

Advanced Interactive has relationships with many ISPs and web hosting providers. Part of our service offering is to identify the type of provider and hosting plan that will best suit your needs.

I have a lot of company information in print form, can you put them on the web site?

Yes. Just about any document can be formatted or recreated into a web page, preserving any layout or design requirements you may have.

Is a website better than a print brochure?

While a print brochure is an effective marketing tool, its reach is limited to the number of brochures you can afford to print and send out. On the other hand, a website can be viewed by an infinite number of people around the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at no extra cost to you. The two can also work very well together. Use the print brochure to promote your website. Use your website to offer free downloads of your print brochure. As long as you are reaching your intended audience, capturing leads or sales, and getting a return on your investment, we believe a well balanced marketing mix is the best approach.

Will I get email addresses containing my domain name?

Yes, as long as you own the domain name, you can have as many email addresses with that domain name as you like, within the limits set by your ISP or web hosting provider.

Will I get a good domain name?

This depends on the name you are looking for. Advanced Interactive can help you find an appropriate domain name for your business. If your favorite choice is taken, we'll help you come up with variations that will suit your needs.

I have a graphic designer that I've been working with for years, and I like their work. Can you work with them?

Absolutely! We work with all sorts of designers on our projects, including in-house, contracted, and graphic artists from ad agencies. We can do as much or as little of the design work for you as you require.
